There are ways to advance what's here (for instance: hands behind the head for Lower Lift) or to modify if you're just starting your Pilates practice, but this is the basic series in Classical Pilates.

Abdominal Series:
1. Single Leg Stretch *
2. Double Leg Stretch *
3. Scissors
4. Lower Lift
5. Criss-Cross

* Pay special attention to your breath in Exercises 1 and 2!

Feel free to practice up to 8 sets of each exercise. Only one set of each exercise is demonstrated in this video!

Important: This series of exercises is meant for those without injuries, limitations, and contraindications. Please make sure you are cleared for exercise by a doctor if necessary, and above all, listen to your body. Keep your head/upper body on the mat if you feel any neck tension. Pilates by Diane is not liable for any injuries sustained during your workout.
